Imaging archives grow every year. Object storage lets that growth land in Amazon S3 instead of the next on-premises storage refresh.
- Amazon S3
- Amazon FSx
- S3-compatible storage
- On-premises SAN or NAS
- Hybrid
Mach7 is storage-agnostic by design. Archive to the storage you already own, or scale into AWS and S3-compatible object storage on your terms.
The deployment
Three parts, one deployment on AWS
The Mach7 VNA, the eUnity viewer, and the AWS account they run in. The VNA and eUnity each connect directly to AWS and its data, and to each other, so eUnity does not need the VNA in front of it.
Mach7 VNA
Imaging data layer
Consolidates imaging from every department into one standards-based archive, in standards-native storage with no proprietary internal format: Amazon S3, Amazon FSx, S3-compatible object storage, on-premises storage, or a mix of them. It also integrates directly with AWS HealthImaging.
eUnity
Enterprise diagnostic viewing
Secure, zero-footprint access to imaging inside the clinical workflow, with nothing installed on the endpoint.
Amazon Web Services
The infrastructure underneath
Scalable compute and object storage, so imaging data can grow into Amazon S3 or S3-compatible storage instead of expanding on-premises capacity.
Why AWS
Key benefits
- Keep your storage options open Storage-agnostic by design: on-premises SAN or NAS, Amazon S3, Amazon FSx managed file storage, S3-compatible object storage, or a hybrid.
- Read studies from object storage Where the Enterprise Imaging Platform is tightly integrated with eUnity, the viewer can read studies directly from AWS S3 object storage rather than staging them through a local cache first.
- Work with AWS HealthImaging The VNA and eUnity both integrate with AWS HealthImaging. The VNA always pushes updates to the data at rest, which keeps the architecture data-centric. eUnity provides an AWS HealthImaging study provider and image provider.
- Modernize imaging infrastructure Reduce dependency on aging storage environments and fragmented imaging repositories.
- Support digital pathology and AI workloads High-volume imaging workflows on scalable compute, storage and networking.
