Mach7 Technologies’ Enterprise Imaging Solution Selected by The University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital

 

UGA unPACS with Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform and Advanced Mobile Image Acquisition Solution

Burlington, VT – February 3, 2015Mach7 Technologies®, a global provider of enterprise image management systems and services, today announced the company is implementing Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform at the UGA Veterinary Teaching Hospital. UGA is adopting a true enterprise approach to image management by “deconstructing” their existing PACS and adopting a vendor neutral imaging management model.

Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform will enable universal image access, sharing and visualization across the enterprise. Consolidation and normalization of exam and imaging data ensures UGA has access to clean data across the enterprise. This enhanced platform will allow UGA to plug in state-of-the-art visualization solutions. The flexibility to adopt advanced visualization solutions frees UGA from the burden of a full PACS replacement. UGA also plans to leverage Mach7’s iModality Mobile App, which allows clinicians to capture non-DICOM files using iPhones and iPads. These files can then be automatically associated with the appropriate patient data in the electronic medical record (EMR).

The Mach7 VNA will provide an integrated archive management strategy to accommodate medical images from all sources, including Radiology, Cardiology, Endoscopy, Pathology and Clinical Pathology. We are particularly excited to use the iModality Mobile App, which will allow our clinicians to capture photos, videos, and notes with their mobile phone or tablet from any location – a must in our field when patients can’t always be seen in a traditional exam setting.”
