Mach7 Technologies Chosen to Power MaineHealth’s Enterprise Imaging Strategy
Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform selected for key success factors of reliability, performance and reduced solution lifecycle costs.
Burlington, VT – January 17, 2017 – MaineHealth joins Mach7 Technologies’ (ASX:M7T) growing network of customer partners implementing award-winning Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform. Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform will underpin MaineHealth’s enterprise imaging strategy to consolidate archiving and communication across their growing enterprise. With Mach7 at the foundation of their enterprise imaging strategy, MaineHealth can take a phased approach that is non-disruptive to their key clinical users. The end result is a best-of-breed clinical ecosystem that eliminates the virtual walls often created by disparate healthcare IT systems.
MaineHealth’s strategy for enterprise imaging includes the ability for Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform to acquire images directly from the modalities and take over many of the traditional PACS functions of workflow distribution, access to cross-enterprise priors, data localization, archiving, and more. Specialists in radiology, cardiology, and other imaging departments will continue to access their clinical tools and viewers of choice while the enterprise consolidates the unstructured data and patient records.
“MaineHealth’s approach is a great example of how imaging technology can enhance the quality of care through improved access, clinical data consolidation, and a broadened offering of specialty services while enabling specialists to remain in their PACS of choice” stated Eric Rice, CTO, Mach7 Technologies. “For those organizations looking for a non-disruptive and phased approach to enterprise imaging, this is a very viable answer. The platform shifts the paradigm and enables this kind of unique flexibility.”
Bob Coleman, senior director of imaging informatics at MaineHealth in Portland, ME stated “In researching vendors, we did a thorough analysis and review of enterprise imaging solutions. Mach7 offered the only solution that met all our functionality criteria, key success factors of reliability, performance and reduced solution lifecycle costs that are within our budget.”
Rice noted, “Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform delivers a solution architected from the ground up to provide the capabilities of high availability, failover, and scalability with minimal impact on the healthcare system infrastructure. With our unique architecture, not only does the Mach7 solution deliver performance and reliability, but it can be delivered in a fraction of the time, effort, and cost. Additional cost savings are often realized through simplified management of the platform, shorter timeframe for solution delivery, and an infrastructure that requires fewer processors and memory when compared to comparable solutions on the market.”
Coleman continued, “We also researched the people behind the software. We were not looking to be just another customer, we wanted a collaborative relationship. Mach7’s partnership approach is exactly what we hoped for. We look forward to continuing this relationship for a long time.”Download the PDF
