A study has to arrive at the correct destination, in a format that destination accepts, attached to the correct patient record. When that work is manual it slows care and invites error: technologists match patient and exam information by hand, and identifiers drift across separate EMRs and PACS while radiologists wait on priors.
The Mach7 Communication Workflow Engine (CWE) uses a rule-based engine to define how DICOM studies move through your environment. Administrators build and review each workflow in a graphical editor. CWE normalizes tags on the way through and delivers each study in the transfer syntax the receiving system requires. It is part of the broader Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Solution, and it also runs stand-alone as a focused routing and normalization tool that drops into the environment you already have.
Individual DICOM header elements trigger workflows, and nested Boolean logic lets you build very specific rules. Both public and private tags are supported, with processing rules applied at input or output to satisfy a destination's transfer syntax or other constraints. Your own administrator manages all of it: new sites, new modalities and new AI endpoints are configuration changes, not vendor projects. Define a rule once and CWE applies it the same way every time.
