Study Segmentation

PROBLEM: Need for segmenting studies

SOLUTION: The Keystone Study Split Utility (SSU)

As a workstation solution designed for the technologist, the Keystone Study Split Utility provides an advanced tool for managing image acquisition workflow. With the Keystone Study Split Utility, studies acquired from the modality may be checked for quality, updated based on standard DICOM Modality Worklist (DMWL) queries, and split as required (ex. Chest, Abdomen, and Pelvis) across defined accession numbers to enable specialist workflow and ensure accurate downstream billing.

The Keystone Study Split Utility provides an advanced set of technologist tools for greater workflow efficiencies and improved quality.

Medical Image Study Segmentation

BENEFITS:

  • Easy & Intuitive - Split studies at the image or series level through a graphical interface that enables the most appropriate images to be associated to each exam accession number
  • Synchronize - Enable the metadata associated to each split study to be synchronized to the appropriate patient and exam information
  • Overlap - Send overlapping images and series to each accession number to ensure critical data, such as the radiation dosage, scout images, and overlapping anatomical regions are associated to each split study
  • Verify - Provides a centralized location for technologist to manage and monitor all imaging studies being acquired, ensuring that every image has been properly received
  • Reporting - Ensure user actions are tracked & reportable with an audit trail of all activities around a study. From the point of image acquisition to study splitting and sending, details are retained within the Keystone Study Split Utility databases.
