Mach 7 Technologies Signs Collaborative Agreement With New York’s Montefiore Medical Center

Leading Integrated Healthcare Provider to Utilize Flagship Keystone Suite™ Software Platform

SCHAUMBURG, IL – November 19, 2009 -- Mach 7 Technologies, a global provider of flexible, PACS-neutral healthcare image management solutions, has been awarded a multi-year product development agreement by Montefiore Medical Center in metropolitan New York City. The development will be undertaken utilizing Mach 7 Technologies’ flagship Keystone Suite™, an Enterprise Image Management Platform that includes the Keystone Archive, Keystone Engine and Keystone Clinical Viewer.

Under the agreement, Montefiore Medical Center will have full use of the Keystone Suite to improve imaging workflow, enhance technologist and radiologist efficacy, and leverage existing IT systems while facilitating Montefiore’s migration to new IT systems. The development effort will enable Montefiore to free the imaging data locked in old legacy PACS systems, while facilitating dramatically improved sharing of imaging data to improve clinical outcomes.

Mach 7 Technologies’ initial development work will focus on the creation of advanced migration tools for user-controlled migration of legacy data from outdated systems. The effort will also include implementation of intelligent routing and DICOM attribute normalization between disparate systems with the Keystone Engine to facilitate inter-departmental imaging workflow.

Also as part of the agreement, Emerging Health IT, an IT Services subsidiary of Montefiore Medical Center, will provide new use-case definition to Keystone Suite product development while applying it in their enterprise to facilitate the movement of images between disparate modalities and IT systems within the larger Montefiore network of healthcare imaging facilities.

“The development agreement with Mach 7 Technologies will help Montefiore Medical Center maintain its position as a leader in implementing IT technology to improve patient outcomes,” notes Mony Weschler, Director of Clinical Ancillary Informatics for Emerging Health IT. “The addition of Keystone Suite and the Keystone Utilities at Montefiore empowers us to take greater ownership of the imaging data. Having the ability to manage all of the image movement and attribute normalization through one, easy-to-use intuitive user interface — without having to call in an outside vendor — will pay significant dividends over time."

“Montefiore’s selection of Keystone Suite further establishes Mach 7 Technologies as the up-and-coming provider of advanced DICOM-based solutions,” says Tom Riesenberg, CEO of Mach 7 Technologies. “We look forward to partnering with the Emerging Health IT team & Montefiore Medical Center to further explore ways the Keystone Suite solutions can benefit the hospital imaging environment.” Mony Weschler adds, "This partnership will enable us to build the tools that have been lacking for so long in Medical Imaging.”
